Martin Luther King – Day of Service

January 17, 2022

About MLK Day of Service

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 17, 2022, is the 27th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. Feeding Northeast Florida invites you to participate in our volunteer opportunities on this day of service! You can join us in several ways: volunteer at a mobile distribution, write a letter of encouragement to one of our clients, participate in our virtual food drive, and help us show Congress what hunger looks like in the communities they represent by emailing them today!
